Marriage Setu · Promulgated pursuant to the Information Technology Act, 2000 & DPDP Act, 2023 · Effective August 2026
This Terms of Service agreement ("Agreement") constitutes a legally binding contract between the user ("User", "You", or "Candidate") and Marriage Setu ("Platform", "We", "Us"). By accessing, creating an account, browsing, or publishing a matrimonial classified listing on this Platform, you unconditionally agree to be bound by these terms, executed in compliance with Section 10A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
You explicitly warrant and represent that:
Marriage Setu operates exclusively as a peer-to-peer, direct matrimonial matching service. Commercial solicitation, marriage bureau scraping, marketing campaigns, automated data extraction, or third-party fee collection are strictly illegal and prohibited. Any profile creating false, misleading, offensive, or fraudulent representations will be immediately deleted, and the IP identifier submitted to appropriate enforcement authorities under Section 66D of the Information Technology Act.
To guarantee complete privacy and prevent unsolicited harassment:
Creating a classified listing and reviewing matches on Marriage Setu is 100% Free. PRO upgrades (unlocking advanced deal-breaker filters, compatibility scoring, and unlimited contact requests) are offered as a single, transparent, one-time payment of ₹3,000. No recurring subscriptions, automatic credit card renewals, or hidden charges shall ever be levied.
While Marriage Setu employs strict verification standards, users are strongly advised to conduct independent family and background verification prior to finalizing any matrimonial alliance. The Platform shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or personal disputes arising out of personal interactions outside the Platform.
This Agreement shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal proceedings or disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in New Delhi, India.
