Marriage Setu operates as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. We are committed to processing user data strictly for authentic matrimonial matching purposes. We collect only the minimum required information necessary to facilitate genuine candidate discovery.
Account authentication is conducted exclusively via Google Identity Services (OAuth 2.0). We receive verified identity tokens (Name and Email address). We never request, store, or process your account password. All authentication data is encrypted via 256-bit SSL Transport Layer Security.
To safeguard candidate safety and dignity:
We maintain an absolute, non-negotiable policy: Your personal identity, phone number, and contact details will NEVER be rented, sold, monetized, or transferred to third-party data brokers, telemarketers, or commercial advertisers.
In accordance with Section 12 of the DPDP Act, 2023 (Right to Erasure), you hold full authority to unpublish, edit, or delete your matrimonial listing at any time. Upon profile unpublishing, your classified record is removed from active matching directories.
In compliance with Rule 3(11) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2011, grievances regarding privacy or data handling may be directed to our designated Grievance Officer:
